As a Sales Engineer for Alston Equipment Company, you will have the opportunity to use your technical knowledge and personality to solve problems and generate income. Alston Equipment is a manufacturer's representative firm specializing in bulk material handling, processing, storage, and packaging. We are looking for motivated individuals in Dallas and Houston to complete our team of sales engineers and increase market penetration.
You must:
* Maximize sales by demonstrating your ability and willingness to learn our customer's processes and solve their technical problems.
*Work with our contracted manufacturers to learn equipment and maintenance practices as well as implement sales strategies to continue penetration into existing and newly defined customer base.
* Identify and penetrate prospective accounts for sales opportunities.
* Promote and service the equipment of each of our manufacturers to ensure proper coverage and market penetration for each.
* Ability to generate and follow-up on proposals.
Qualifications:
* Technical sales experience, or desire to learn, working with our manufacturers and customers to increase our installed base in the Petro-chemical, Food, Minerals, Aggregate and Wood/Pulp and Paper Industries.
* Technical degree is preferred.
* Organizational and communication skills are required.
* Must be a self-starter with desire to work independently to maximize income.
